Project

The #FOTONICS project aims to realize and optimize a photodetector based on the ultra-fast Bi2Se3/Si heterojunction, operating at low voltage from ultraviolet to infrared and cheaper than those on the market.

BioDivErSI is a project funded under the Public Call "Gruppi di Ricerca 2020" POR FESR Lazio 2014-2020
The project will build a prototype instrument that combines an #electrospray ionization source and #mass_spectrometry techniques to develop a new technology for #biomarker discovery and structural characterization. BioDivErSI will focus on the identification and characterization of microRNAs, as non-coding single-stranded RNA sequences, which negatively regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level and play a primary role in the development and progress of various viral diseases and infections.

The PARIDE project is starting now! Funded by the regional agency #Lazio_Innova in the framework of the call "Gruppi di Ricerca 2020", merges the competences in electronic devices’ development of #CNR-ISM, here collaborating with #CNR-IC, with those of the Electronic Engineering Dept. of TorVergata University and the know-how of Niccolò Cusano University in the electronic design. Aim of PARIDE is the development of #perovskite #imaging #x-ray_detectors fabricated on flexible substrates and coupled to a compact electronic system for signal elaboration, and characterized by high sensitivity to monitor radiation doses used in surgery #radioprotection and #oncological_radiation therapy.

#P2DAME aims at the realization of a #FET (high-frequency field effect transistor), whose heart is represented by a new #2D_polymer obtained via #on_surface_synthesis.

E-CROME project is starting now!

The #E-CROME project, for #telemedicine to assist cancer and terminal patients, is launched. The project, funded by Regione Lazio, Lazio Innova, Call Projects Research Groups 2020 involves the Department of Chemical Sciences and Technologies (DSTC) and the Department of Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering (DICII) of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the National Research Council (CNR-ISM and CNR-IC) and the Gemelli University Hospital Foundation (FPG).

In veterinary medicine, as well as in human medicine, regenerative therapy using stem cells is getting increasing importance.

Regenerative medicine is an interdisciplinary field focused on the prospect of repairing, replacing and / or regenerating tissues and / or organs.

The projects aims at establishing the "General Laboratory for Atomic and Molecular physics" support laboratory (GLAM) at Elettra.

In the framework of the call FETOPEN H2020, TECSAS project, recently funded, is coordinated by ISM-CNR and started on March 1st, 2021. The aim of the project is the technical and economic evaluation of the integration of an innovative thermionic energy converter for the solar energy concentrated-to-electricity conversion within CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) plants, in order to make them highly competitive if compared with extended photovoltaics. The main output of the project will be the technological validation of the coupling between the upstream thermionic conversion stage and the downstream thermodynamic conversion, and the definition of a business plan strategy that allows to launch this innovation on the market in the short-medium term.
