The P2DAME project arises from the fruitful collaboration of research centers with complementary experimental and theoretical skills. The aim of the project, funded by the Lazio Region, is the reali-zation of an electronic device, a high-frequency field effect transistor (FET), based on a two-dimensional semiconducting polymer that has appealing properties, such as high electron mobility and nonzero band gap (unlike graphene). Such novel nanomaterial has potential to play a key role in electronics and is promising for its possible use as an active medium in high-frequency FETs.
