FemtoFrame-II (IB Photonics)

Fast Transient Absorption/Reflectivity Spectrometer (FTAS)

EFSL - EuroFEL Support Laboratory  -

This optical pump-probe technique involves the excitation of a sample using frequency-tunable light from the optical parametric amplifier; the sample is then probed with a time-delayed supercontinuum of white light. Both transient absorption and reflectance can be measured as a function of the probe time delay with a time resolution of up to 50 fs.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Repetition Rate [Time Resolution]: 1KHz [50 fs]; 1KHz-50 KHz [190 fs]
  • Pump Energy Range*: 240-2000 nm
  • Probe Energy Range*: 250-1600 nm
  • Time Window: up to 1 ns **
  • Sample Temperature: RT, 77K
* Pump and probe range depends on the source used and selected supercontinuum setup
** Extension for delays in the range 10 ns – 10 ms
