Mission
The MISSION of CNR-ISM focuses on both fundamental and applied research in the science of materials and technologies of matter. The activity of the Institute concentrates on design, synthesis and analysis of both well-established and new functional nano-, micro-, macro-scale materials to understand their complex properties and to develop frontier scientific concepts which will enable the development of sustainable technologies for energy, well-being and health, environment and information communication technology.
