The main aim of the (MD-GAS) Action is to develop a new physical and chemical toolbox to significantly advance the understanding of gas phase molecular dynamics induced in interactions between molecules or clusters and photons, electrons, or heavy particles as well as its consequences for a broad range of applications in e.g. astrochemical and atmospheric sciences, and molecular radiation damage.
MD-GAS is organized into 3 Working Groups (WG):
WG 1: New instrumentation and experimental methods
WG 2: Survival and destruction of molecules as a result of energetic processes
WG 3: Molecular growth, intermolecular and intracluster reactions
The COST action supports various activities, including short term scientific mission among participants, organization of annual meetings and schools.
