The Institute of Structure of Matter of the Italian National Research Council, established on 13.09.2000, located in the Area della Ricerca di Tor Vergata, (Roma) and located in the Area della Ricerca di Roma 1 - Montelibretti (RM). There is also a third institute section located in Trieste, at the Area Science Park of Basovizza, focused on synchrotron radiation research.
