WORK EXPERIENCE

(2013-present)

Researcher
of the CNR_Istituto di Struttura della Materia (U.O.S. Montelibretti)
Area della Ricerca di Roma1, via Salaria km 29.300 – 00016 Monterotondo Scalo (RM)
c/o Università degli Studi di RomaTRE – Dipartimento di Scienze

The research activity deals with the study of electron correlated systems and Carbon-based materials by electron spectroscopies

(2008-2013)

Researcher
of the CNR_Istituto Fotonica e Nanotecnologie

The activity has been focused on the investigation of angular properties of electron field emission from Carbon Nanotubes and it has been carried out within the frame of the EU project AXIS (Advanced X-Ray source based on field emitting carbon nanotubes cold cathodes) – Grant Agreement No.: 222260. FP7-SME-1-2007 Research for the benefit of specific groups – Research for SMEs (September 2008 – April 2011)

(2004-2008)

Researcher
of the CNR_Istituto Sistemi Complessi

Spectroscopical characterization of electronic properties of organic-inorganic interfaces

(1996-2008)

Researcher
of the CNR _IMIP (ex IMAI)

Responsible (from 1998 to 2004) of the “Surface electron spectroscopy laboratory”,
where he developed the reflection (e,2e) technique, a non-conventional spectroscopy to investigate electron momentum states at surfaces. For this purpose he built a unique apparatus specifically designed to detect time correlated electron pairs emitted by grazing angle scattered electrons.

(1994-1996)

Researcher
of the “Centre National de la Recerche Scientifique” (CNRS)
L.U.R.E. labs – Centre Universitaire Paris Sud (F)
within the frame of the European Program “Human Capital and Mobility”, he has been working as beam line assistant on the project “X-ray dichroism of interfaces and thin films”

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

(1991– 1994)

Research fellow
training at the laboratories of the “Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche” (CNR) at the “Istituto Metodologie Avanzate Inorganiche (IMAI) in the form of fellowships co-sponsored by ENI-Ricerche and CNR on the topics: “Electron spectroscopies for the study and characterization of surfaces and interfaces” and “Photoionization experiments using synchrotron radiation to study excited states in molecules”

(1990)

Degree in Physics, (graduation mark 110/110)
Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”
thesis title “Electron spectroscopies of metal-semiconductor interfaces”
